Weekly Update
Principal's Message
Dear Bengal Families,
We hope that this weekly update finds you well and in good spirits. We are nearing the end of trimester 2 on Friday, March 5th which means grades will be processed and mailed out within the next 2-3 weeks.
Reminders for the Week
Material Distribution Day for Students: During the week of March 1st we will have material distribution for our students at Addams. We have scheduled each grade level to pick up materials at a designated time by order of last name. We will be distributing the SSID number required for testing (SBAC) this day and it will only be given to students and parents. Please refer to the schedule below for information regarding when your student is scheduled to come in and pick up materials.
Produce Distribution Day Survey: We would like to say thank you to the families that participated in our produce distribution. We would like to ask you to take a moment and fill out this short survey and let us know how we did. We would appreciate any feedback in how we have succeeded and areas we need to improve on. You can access the survey here

The field of education is filled with technical terms, detailed reports, and federal guidelines. However, one of the major components that isn’t discussed is the relationship between the family and the school in their effort to best serve the student. However, there are bound to be moments when the district and family do not see eye-to-eye.
In those moments, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) may be appropriate. ADR is a service that the SELPA provides to individuals, giving them an opportunity to resolve disagreements in a safe, positive, and efficient manner. This presentation will outline the ADR services and fill you in on how the SELPA can help during IEP meetings.
To RSVP, please email Crystal Lopez at Crystal_Lopez@swselpa.org and you will receive a zoom link to connect to the meeting.
Meeting Date: April 19, 2021
Time: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.
